Why did the camera break, Cameron?
I heard the crash when you were putting equipment away in my office. That’s why I am always so meticulous when describing procedure$ for $towing every ex$tremely flim$y pie$e of gear, acce$$ory and apparatu$
It’s because you weren’t paying attention. You were thinking about your road trip, seeing your dad, why I got a coffee from the cute barista after the photo shoot and not you.
How do I know you weren’t paying attention? Because you are a highly intelligent, able-bodied man who could clearly handle putting a camera away – if you were were paying attention.
And that’s why I meditate before a shoot. It’s not just so I can make people feel awkward while silently balancing on a log for an exorbitant amount of time. It’s so I can focus. It’s so I can remind myself to concentrate on the present, on the task at hand.
Meditations are now mandatory.
